It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if never given the opportunity.

In the end, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy being given a chance to create her newest gem.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it has been a challenging time because it seemed my form was missing at all," stated Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and from that point the batsman was in motion.

"An opportunity to take the field and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was removed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the final thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

During the last week a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wished she had played despite the injury.
